A delicious apple-flavored barbecue sauce.

This sauce would work great with pork, pork ribs or with chicken.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
• 1 cup ketchup
• 1/3 cup apple, peeled and grated
• 1/4 cup apple juice
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
• 1/4 cup onion, grated
• 2 teaspoons bell pepper, grated
• 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 3/4 teaspoon white pepper

Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer 15 minutes.

 

APRICOT BBQ SAUCE

This sauce would go great on pork ,pork ribs, or chicken.

Ingredients:
1/2 c. apricot nectar
1/4 c. cider vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar (packed)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 c. catsup
1/4 c. oil
2 tbsp. grated onion
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Dash of hot pepper sauce

Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Heat to a boil for 1 minute. Makes 1 1/3 cups.

SWEET & SPICY BBQ SAUCE

This sauce would go great on any kind of ribs or red meat.



Ingredients:
1/3 c. cooking oil
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. Karo syrup
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. ketchup
1/3 c. white vinegar
1 c. Kraft onion bits BBQ sauce
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed

Heat oil in quart pot. Add onions. Cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a slow boil on medium heat, stirring once in a while. Turn to warm setting. Simmer for 30 minutes. Yields: 3 to 4 cups.

Sweet BBQ Sauce 

This sauce would go great on any kind of ribs or red meat.

Ingredients:
One 14-ounce bottle of ketchup
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons molasses
2 teaspoons Creole or whole grain mustard
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar
Dash of hot pepper sauce
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Pinch of salt
Pinch of cayenne
2 teaspoons peeled and grated fresh ginger
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper

Directions
In a food processor fitted with a metal blade, combine all of the ingredients. Process until smooth, about 15 seconds. Scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula. Pulse two or three times. Refrigerate overnight before using

Strawberry Habanero Barbecue Sauce


Great on Chicken and Pork.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup strawberry jam
Zest and juice of 2 limes, finely grated
1/4 cup thin soy sauce
1/4 cup finely minced ginger
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, minced
2 tablespoons habanero hot sauce

Directions:
Combine all ingredients and mix well. This sweet and spicy sauce works great as both a marinade and a barbecue sauce. Since it has sugars in it, do not brush onto grilled foods until they are almost ready to leave the grill.

Orange Barbecue Sauce

Great for chicken, pork or beef -also makes enough for 2 small birds


Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups purchased hickory smoke-flavored barbecue sauce
1 6-ounce container frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons medium-dry sherry
1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons tabasco sauce
2 garlic cloves, peeled, crushed through a press
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled

Directions
